FIRE-FIGHTING EQUIPMENT
NEEDED IN PARKING AREAS PA WELLINGTON, Nov. 17. Concern at the lack of adequate firefighting equipment, where cars are parked in large numbers at race meetings and shows, has been expressed by the council of the North Island Motor Union. The council decided to suggest to fire brigades, underwriters associations and counties and municipal associations that they take active steps to see that sufficient fire-fighting equipment is provided at all formal gatherings where there are large numbers of motor vehicles.
