America Asks France To Build Up Air Force As Condition For Aid
NZPA—Reuter—Copyright Rec. 1 a.m. PARIS, Nov. 17. America had asked France to form 10 air groups and instal extra air bases as a condition for military aid, said the Air Minister, M. Andre Maroselli, in an interview with the newspaper, Figaro. The Minister said: “ The Americans are realists. They refuse to hand out precious material without guarantees. Work on French air bases is not advanced as it should be.”
A French air group consists of 50 aircraft, of which 30 are on active service and 20 on reserve.
