A PRESSING NEED
LACK OF TENNIS COURTS OTAGO BOYS' HIGH SCHOOL “ I know of no other boys’ secondary school in New Zealand which does not possess tennis courts and I feel it is the duty of all of us to see that boys in one of the oldest secondary schools in New Zealand are provided with courts.” This was the comment of the rector of the Otago Boys’ High School, Mr E. J. Aim, in his report to the Otago High Schools Board yesterday.; “ I had hoped that our boys would have courts by 1950, but at the present rate of progress, this school will, be without them -for many a day unless someone gets busy,” Mr Aim added.
The board after a brief discussion decided to place the matter in the hands of the Ministry of Works, which, it was stated, would call tenders for the work.
