The weather has been fine and warm, and conditions promise to be favourable for the second day of the Waikato Racing Club’s spring meeting at Te Rapa to-morrow. As the result of the withdrawal of Brookland, Silver Cane, who was balloted out after the acceptances, has re-entered the field for the President's Handicap. The favourites may include:— 11.0: Matangi Hack Hurdles.—Tamaiti Kino, Forest Ranger, Pola. 11.45: First Frankton Hack Handicap.— First division: Rhett Butler, Chatrill. Moorslde. Second division: Reliance, Patio, Kohunui. 12.35: Ruakura Stakes.—First division: Correspond. Laktne, Ruling Credit. Second division: Zenith, Personage, Grande Fille. 1.25: Hamilton Handicap.—Rosslare, Vice Chancellor, Conspiracy. 2.10: Waikato Hack Cup.—Calibrate, Faithful Lady. Bob’s Own. 3.0: Kirikiriroa Handicap.—Gold Pal, Stanfred. Princessita. 3.50: Second Frankton Hack Handicap.— First division: Balcombe, Nionyx, Craftsman. Second division: Seven Up, Master Orelio, Brer Acre. 4.40: Miller Handicap.—Foxbay, Tudor Prince, Coonbridge.
