COMMUNITY SING
The final community sing of the 1949 season will be held in the Town Hall on November 22 in the evening. " Miss New Zealand ” (Miss Mary Woodward) says that in Britain food parcels are most needed for the old people, the needy, and those who are restricted to one or two ration books. The Dunedin sing is for food for Britain. Donations may be sent to Mr J. F Himburg. care of Charles Begg and Co., Ltd. A special attraction will be the guest artists, “ Revue 49," from 4YA, Gil Dech conducting. The Dunedin Ladies’ Brass Band, with its novelty drummers, will be present. Mr A. Pettitt will play by request his own composition, " Timaru March.”
