OTAGO SWIMMING CENTRE
CHAMPIONSHIP DATES APPROVED ' The Otago Swimming Centre last night decided to hold the Otago Championship carnivals on November 29 and December 1. It also decided to hold championship events at club hours on November 28 and 30 and December 5 and 7. The programme was approved for a centre carnival next Thursday, and the water polo selectors were instructed to select teams for this meeting and for the Taieri Club's carnival on December 10. The Canterbury Centre’s suggestion that the Otago-Canterbury inter-provincial water polo contest be held on March 11 was tentatively approved. It was decided to recommend to the New Zealand Council that the New Zealand Junior Boys’ and Girls’ Diving Championships be held from the threemetre board. Advice was received from the Wellington Centre that the New Zealand Water Polo Championships would be held on December 26, 27 and 28.
