T AND G MUTUAL SOCIETY The directors of the T. and G. Mutual Life Assurance Society report that during the financial year ended Septembei 30 1949. 40.376 policies assuring £20,395,496 were written .in the ordinary department, and in the industrial department 76,003 policies assuring £8,295,018 were written, the total life business issued being 116,379 policies assuring £2B 690,514. Inihe accident department 12.715 personal accident and sickness policies assuring £4,539,320 were issued, and 28.5U2 ordinary and industrial assurances were endorsee! with accident benefits for £ percentage of the new business secured in the ordinary depait--3 was obtained from group assurance and staff superannuation schemes, an increasing number of firms and companies having entrusted their superannuation schemes to the society during the past year.
