Rec. 9.26 p.m. WASHINGTON, Oct. 25. Two announcements about preparations for atomic bomb attacks were made in the Capitol to-night. The National Security Board said that each American State was planning protective measures in jthe event of an atomic bomb attack. \ The board, the Atomic Energy Commission, and the armed services were co-operating in a big programme of civilian defence. Special training courses for doctors and nurses in the military and public health services had begun. A spokesman for the Washington Medical Society said plans were being drafted to create a medical “disaster” force of doctors which could be mobilised /to deal with any atomic casualties in Washington.
