The tone of the sale at Lorneville today was affected by a lack of outside competition, and prices in nearly all sections were down compared with those ruling recently. The only brightness in the fat cattle section was the bidding for a few pens of extra good quality bullocks. Quality store cattle were much lower than at recent sales.
