English Engagements Not Attractive To-day
PA WELLINGTON, Oct. 25. If New Zealand cricketers received offers to accept English engagements, no indication was given when they returned on the Rangitata to-day that they were likely to accfept. The general impression gained by press interviewers was that the life of a professional cricketer in England, and life generally in England at present, did not present a sufficiently strong appeal. Sutcliffe will take up his two-year coaching contract in Dunedin as soon as he has settled his affairs in Auckland.
