DEMONSTRATION BY ST. KILDA BAND
The St. Kilda Municipal Band demonstrating the Australian Quickstep on the ground opposite the Botanic Gardens yesterday. The band also gave a programme of music at the Botanic Gardens. Tonight it will make its final public appearance in a
concert at the Town Hall before leaving for Australia. A total of £l6l 8s 3d had been collected from the Targe crowd which listened to the recital at the gardens, the secretary of the band, Mr I. E. Still, told the Daily Times last night. This left about £3OO to be raised.
