The phenomenal rise in the output of butter-fat in New Zealand over the opening' months of the new season is regarded in the dairy industry as almost incredible. Already returns indicate an increase of 20 per cent, in the production of butter-fat for the first two months, August and September, of the 1949-50 dairying year compared with the figures for last season.
