It was showery but very warm in Wellington to-day,, and the forecast is for similar conditions to-morrow when the Wellington Racing Club opens its spring meeting. Frances and The Hob were withdrawn at 2.20 p.m. to-day from their engagements in the Wainui and Shorts Handicaps respectively. Oslo was scratched at 3.15 p.m. and Roscarea at 9 a.m. for the Rimutaka Handicap, and Royal Moutoa was scratched from the Glen Hurdles at 10.45 a.m.
