PRINCIPAL RESIGNS
WATTAKI GIRLS' HIGH SCHOOL THIRTY YEARS’ SERVICE Special to the Daily Times OAMARU, Oct. 14. Miss J. B. Wilson, lady principal of the Waitaki Girls’ High School. Oamaru; has tendered her resignation after 30 years’ service. The resignation was accepted with regret at a special meeting of the Waitaki High School Board of Governors. Miss Wilson was appointed lady principal of the school at the October meeting of the board in 1919, and entered upon her duties in February, 1920. In communicating her resignation to the board, Miss Wilson said that for her it was a momentous decision, ior her whole life had been bound up with' the school and her pupils. She had always been deeply conscious of the, great responsibility of guiding the destinies of the girls in a large day and boarding school. She felt that her life’s work had borne some good fruit, but she had long been conscious of her limitations, and regretted that her achievements had - not been greater. , Miss Wilson thanked the chairman and members of the board and its officials for their kindness and consideration.
