NO NEW FREEZING WORKS
BLUFF WATERSIDERS PROTEST AT DECISION, PA INVERCARGILL, Oct. 14. A vigorous protest against the “'decision of the Agricultural and Pastoral Committee of the House of Representatives “that there is no present need for a new export freezing works in Southland” has been made by the Bluff Watersiders’ Union in a telegram to the Minister of Agriculture. Mr Cullen. The telegram says: “The interests of Bluff are vitally affected by the opinion of the committee. The Watersiders’ Union enters a vigorous protest against the decision. The union compliments those members of Parliament who supported the establishment of the new works.”
