SITUATIONS VACANT HOSPITAL BOARD. STAFF VACANCIES. The Waikato Hospital Board is about to Open an Additional Institution in the itotorua Sanatorium Grounds and adjacent to the Blue Baths. Immediate accommodation will be provided for 35 Elderly Men, to be increased to 50 as soon as possible, and thereafter another 20 beds will be provided for aged and infirm Men. In order to establish this newly-equipped institution applications are invited for the following POSITIONS: MATRON: With General Nursing Certificate. Salary in accordance with Hospital Employment Regulations, 1948, is £390 p.a., living in, and rising to £415 p.a. living in. HEAD ORDERLY: A Man to attend patients as required, to be in charge of Orderlies and to perform such other duties as delegated. Salary, £394 p.a., or £446 p.a. if certain additional duties are required to be performed. Deduction of £SB 10s p.a. if lives in; 23 days’ holiday per annum. OR, ALTERNATIVELY, MATRON AND MASTER: This would be an ideal position for a Married Couple. Husband to attend patients as required. Wife must be Registered Nurse.
