LIBRARY SCHEME IN PREPARATION Daily Times Special Service WELLINGTON, Oct. J 3. A possible total of 1.000,000 non-fic-tion books will become more readily available to readers throughout New, Zealand under a union catalogue scheme now in preparation by the New Zealand Library Association at the headquarters of the National Library Service. The Carnegie Corporation of New York has provided 5000 dollars to inaugurate the scheme. and main equipment—microfilm camera—‘ now awaiting assembly at Wellington. It will .be used first to photograph cards in the reference section of the Central library. That will be the start of a project which at its completion should make -New Zealand virtually one big library.
