Mr Mikolajczyk Finds Communist Sentiment On Decline In North France

Special to the Daily Times LONDON, Oct. 4. Mr Stanislaw Mikolajczyk, the former Polish Premier and anti-Commun-ist leader, is in England on a short visit. He told the Daily Telegraph that during a recent tour of inspection of the coalfields in Northern France he had been very much impressed by the marked decline of Communist sentiment in the last 12 months. In this mining area there are about half a million Poles. He is returning to the United States this week for a further lecture tour. His book, “ The Pattern of Soviet Domination,” remains the classic expose of Russian Communist tactics for obtaining control over the satellite States. “ It has been translated into practically all the major languages of the world—but not into Russian,” he said. Mr Mikolajczyk believes that the next major Russian offensive in the cold war will be launched not in Europe or even in the Far East, but in the Middle East.
