HEAVY RAIN IN SYDNEY
SYDNEY, Sept. 26.
So far this year Sydney has had more than 58£in of rain—the highest since 1890, when' the corresponding fall was more than 73in. Between Friday morning and yesterday afternoon nearly 6in of rain fell in the metropolitan area. The rain extended 500 miles along the coast from Coff’s Harbour in the north to Bateman’s Bay in the south.
