Thirty-one fire brigades fought for three hours and a-half to-day to put out a fire which swept an area one-third of a square mile near the Reichs bridge spanning the Danube in the Soviet sector. The fire broke out in a municipal bus garage and spread quickly to seven blocks of buildings, among them the wooden buildings of the Siemens Schuckert works and nearly 10,000 cubic feet of stored timber.
