Sir Donald Cameron Speaks At Edinburgh

Reuter's Edinburgh correspondent says that Sir Donald Cameron, Mayor of Dunedin, was the first speaker among the civic representatives of a dozen European and overseas cities at the opening of the third Edinburgh music and drama festival to-day Sir Donald said that Dunedin loved to be known as the “ daughter of Edinburgh ” because Scottish settlers in 1848 founded the city and province of Otago. “Dunedim which has so many associations with Scotland, salutes you today,” said Sir Donald.
