BOY BADLY INJURED
ACCIDENT WITH EXPLOSIVES While playing in his backyard at Lawrence yesterday, a 10-year-old boy, Leslie Aimers, had a large part of his hand blow off, as the result of an accident with explosives. He was hurriedly brought to the Dunedin Public Hospital, where he underwent extensive treatment until nearly midnight. It is not yet known what caused the explosion, but the police are making investigations.
Robert Muir, aged 19, of 23 Prince Albert road, was also admitted to the Hospital last evening with hand injuries, which he received while working in the railway goods yards.
