ACCIDENT WITH EXPLOSIVES While playing in his backyard at Lawrence yesterday, a 10-year-old boy, Leslie Aimers, had a large part of his hand blow off, as the result of an accident with explosives. He was hurriedly brought to the Dunedin Public Hospital, where he underwent extensive treatment until nearly midnight. It is not yet known what caused the explosion, but the police are making investigations.
