MODERATE TEMPERATURES Situation.—There Is an anti-cyclone over the North Tasman Sea and very deep deDressions south of the Tasman Sea and South Island. Forecast to 5 p.m.—Moderate to strong west to north-west winds. Weather cloudy. Rain in the far west and some scattered showers else.' where. Temperatures moderate. Further Outlook.—Cold and changeable.
Weather in Dunedin.—After a morning frost of about 8 degrees yesterday, the maximum temperature rose to 69.4 degrees The minimum temperature was 43 degrees. In the 24 hours up to 9.30 a.m. there was ,08in of rain. Sunshine amounted to 4hr 36min and the wind was from the northwest. The barometer was steady at midnight, when it read 29.65 inches.
