DEATHS

CLARK.—On August 22, 1949, at Dunedin, James Wallace (late Tramways), dearly loved husband of the late Margaret Clark; in his seventy-fourth year. ‘‘At rest.’—Private interment from our Chapel, 29 Marion street, To-morrow (Wednesday), at the conclusion of service commencing at 1.30 p.m.—C. INGLIS.—On August 22, 1949, at Dunedin, Elizabeth Mcßobbie Inglis, 289 High street, widow of William Hartley Inglis and mother of Jessie and the late Enid and Kenneth; in her eighty-sixth year. “ With Christ, which is far better.”—The Funeral will leave our Chapel, 326 George street, To-morrow (Wednesday), the 24th inst., at the conclusion of a service commencing at 10.30 a.m. for the Northern Cemetery.—R. LAWRENCE.—On August 22, 1949, at the residence of Mrs L. Currie, Auckland, David, beloved husband of the late Minnie Lawrence, and father of Mrs Davies (Otautau), Neil and Fr«nk (Wellington); in his ninetieth year.—Cremation at Auckland.

LEEN.—On August 22, 1949, at Oamaru, Bridget, beloved wife of the late Jeremiah Leen (late of Kakanui). R.I.P. Requiem Mass at the Basilica, Reed street, Oamaru, on Wednesday, August 24, at 9 a.m.— Private interment.—Stringer and Wilson, funeral directors, Oamaru.

LUCY.—On August 20, 1949, at his residence, 18 Maude street. Temuka, Thomas Martyn, beloved husband, of the late Charlotte McMullan Lucy, and loved father of William (Timaru), Brian (Balclutha) and John (Sydney); aged 78 years. (Late of New Zealand Railways.)

McLEO.D-GOODREDS.—On August 21, 1949, at Dunedin, Margaret Jessie, beloved daughter of Angus and Jemima Cameron, and loved sister of Vera, Robert, Ivy, Ron and the late Allan. “A patient suffere. at rest.’’—Funeral leaves 78 St Andrew street for the Anderson’s Bay Cemetery after service commencing at 11 am To-day (Tuesday).
