PHEROZSHAH FILLIES

PROMINENT IN PARADE Pherozshah fillies were first home in each division of the parade of two-year-old fillies at Riccarton on Saturday. Mr M. J. Moodabe’s grey filly Pastel (Pherozshah— Neutrality), trained at Riccarton by J. S. Shaw, showed speed to overhaul 'Te Reo Maori (Pictavia— Linguist) and establish a narrow winning margin. Te Reo Maori is trained at Riccarton by R Wilson for Mr S. C. Sutherland. Mrs W. Toomey’s brown filly Fiddlesticks (Lord Bobs—La Bru) was R- L. McMormack’s grey Pherozshah —Sports Flash filly, Sharcssa, led the second division at the post. She is trained at Riccarton by W. Barr. Penchant, a brown filly by Beaulivre out of Lady Desirable, trained by V. A. Lee for Mr D. F. Dailey, was second from Strict (Sir Beau—Severity), which is trained by Lee for Mr and Mrs I. Menzies.
