HARDENING PRICES DUNEDIN STOCK EXCHANGE

The week on the Stock Exchange opened on a firm note yesterday, and the carry-forward of hardening prices i'ro-m the preceding week produced no defections. Macduffs, Ltd., ord„ again moved upwards, but; vendors kept the margin correspondingly distant and the stock closed at 11s 8d buyer and 12s 2d seller (11s 6d to 11s 9d in the morning), without a reported deal. Milburn Lime sold at the consistent figure of 33s 6d “ cum.” the final dividend, and McKenzies were unchanged at 635, with more wanted. Buyers of South British Insurance and Standard increased their offers, but sellers were not forward.
