Hawaiian Wharf Strike
Rec. 0.30 a.m. HONOLULU, Aug. 11. The Governor, Mr Ingram Stainback, ordered the seizure of the entire Hawaiian stevedoring industry to-day as the Legislature took steps to outlaw picketing to, break the wharf strike The legislative action came at Mr Stainback’s request after he warned the joint session of the Government not to tolerate any union interruption of its operation of the wharves.
