BOUTS AT AUCKLAND
PA AUCKLAND. June 20. Francis Joseph, a welter-weight from Ba, Fiji met Sonny Hickling, of Wellington, in an eight-round bout in the Town Hall to-night. Joseph had Hickling groggy in the sixth round, but seemed content to coast along and win on points. In a six-round welter-weight preliminary, Noel Fitzwater, lost 71b (Hastings), beat Laurie Rodger, 9st 121 b (Auckland), on points The supporting six-round light-weight contest resulted in a win on points for Paddy Waddick, 9st 81b (Auckland), over Sonny Black, 9st 21b (Auckland).
