RESULTS OF SATURDAY’S SHOOT
A shoot was held on the Dunedin Gun Club’s grounds, Brighton road, on Saturday. The Skeet Match, which was held In the morning under good conditions, resulted in a tie, J. Stiven and W. Elliott both breaking 20 targets H. Walker broke 18, W. Throp, J. Stoddart and W J. West broke 17, J. T. Callaghan 16. A. Roberts 15. and S. F. Aburn 14. A variable westerly wind and changing light conditions made the shooting dimcult in the afternoon. Of 28 competitors, N. J. West (13yds),. J. Stoddart (11yds), and H. E. McArthur (11yds) were the only ones to score the possible (hve breaks) in the Eye-opener Match. ReqUltS * I -■ ■ A Grade: A! Callaghan
15-target Match.—A Grade: «. —--- (13yds) and N. J. West (13yds) tied with 14 breaks, J. K. Geddes (11yds), J. Stoddart (11yds) and H. Walker (13yds) broke 13, H. T. Weir (12yds). J. Orlowski (11yds), W. Throp (15yds) and H. E McArthur (11yds) 12, S. F. Aburn (11yds), W. Elliott (15yds), J. T. Callaghan (11yds) and E. P. Graham 11. B Grade: B. Smith (13yds) and R. Mason (11yds) broke 11, W C. Geddes (11yds), R. Walker (16yds), W. Stewart (12yds), J. J. Hall (12yds) and A. Roberts (12yds) 10. Double Rise Match (five pair).—A Grade: H. Walker (15yds) was the winner with 7 breaks. A. Callaghan N. J. West J Stoddart and H. E. McArthur broke 6 B Grade: J. J. Hall was the winner with 7 breaks, and W. Templeton and A. Robert were next with 4 breaks. The shooting concluded with a mock quail drive which created much amusement. The honours were divided by W. Elliott, A. Callaghan and H. Walker, who all broke four out of the possible five targets Mr R. L Begg was the referee
