MOTOR TESTS
MR J. N. LEMON WINS CUP MRS S. A. LUPP’S SUCCESS The results of the tests in Central Otago conducted by the Automobile Association (Otago) last Saturday were announced yesterday. Mr J. N. Lemon won the Sundstrum Cup in the amateur class and he also put up the best performance in the tests at Middlemarch. Mrs S. A. Lupp, who has had several successes in recent years, was 'the winner of the “ cash amateur ” section. Mr T. Y. Turner was the supervisor of the tests. The results are:— Amateur Class (for Sundstrum Memorial Trophy).—Mr J. N. Lemon’s Vauxhall 12 (lost 9 marks), 1; Mr R. L. Hatherley’s Bradford (lost 19 marks), 2; Mr S. B. Steven’s Vauxhall 14. lost 21 marks), 3. Cash Amateur Class. —Mrs S. A. Lupp’s M.G. (lost 19 marks), 1; Mr E. J. Boyd’s Morris 8 (lost 20 marks), 2; Mr E. F. Reid’s Ford V 8 (lost 21J marks), 3. Best Performance in Tests at Middlemarch.—Mr J. N. Lemon’s Vauxhall 12 (lost 7 marks), 1; Mr R. A. Dunnage’s Singer 9 (lost 9 marks), and Mr J. S Cunningham’s Austin 10 (lost 9 marks) equal, 2.
