STRICT SEPARATION OF THE CHURCH AND STATE IN HUNGARY
Rec. 9 p.m. BUDAPEST, June 1. The Vice-Premier, Matyas Rakosi, told the Workers’ Party that Hungary will in future be governed by a praesidium similar to that of the Soviet Union and other Eastern European countries. He said a new constitution to be drafted in the next few weeks would proclaim strict separation of the Church and the State and regulate Church-State relations in general.
