The naval correspondent of the Daily Telegraph says that a total of £5,250,000 is about two-thirds of the prize proceeds accruing to Britain under the Commonwealth agreement. The other third goes to the Exchequer. I The Commonwealth will draw about ! £2.000,000. * Nearly £15,000,000 was distributed by the navy after the First World War*.
