ANGLO-ISRAELI FINANCIAL AGREEMENT

Rec. 9 p.m. LONDON, June 1. A financial agreement has been reached between Britain and Israel under which the British Treasury will release Israeli blocked sterling balances to a limit of £7,000,000 payable in monthly instalments over a stipulated period. The repatriation of funds in Israel belonging to former British residents will be allowed up to reasonable amounts. The sterling balance to the credit of the Israeli Government in London is stated to be about £30,000,000.
