AUSTRALIANS WIN FINAL MATCH

PA AUCKLAND, June 1. | After an interesting match with an exciting second spell, the Australian Universities' Rugby team won the final game of the New Zealand tour at Eden Park to-day by defeating Auckland University by 16 points to 14. Australia, which led at half time by 8 points to nil, scored four tries, two < of which»were converted, to two tries (one converted) and two | goals. Australia in the first spell had the advantage of a strong wind, and 10 minutes after the start of play in the second half heavy rain fell for the same period. When the rain ceased the wind also dropped, but from this stage fast counter-attacks by either side made the game increasingly inIteresting. The standard of football throughout varied according to the conditions, but , there was not much to choose between | the teams.
