HOMES FOR AGED PEOPLE
AN artist’s sketch of the two and four-unit flats which the Government, proposes to erect as part of a Dominion-wide programme. In a communication to the chairman of the Otago Old People’s Welfare Council, the Minister of Works, Mr Semple, stated
that the units will be so placed that they will obtain the maximum of sunshine. Each unit will have a living room, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, porch, laundry and toolshed. Accessibility to transport and shopping centres will be considered.
