OTAGO ASSOCIATION Afi a meeting of the Management Committee of the Otago Hockey Association last night the Match Committee announced that the second round of the competition would be commenced on June 11 for Senior and Second Grade teams and on June 18 for Third Grade teams. Permission was granted to the King Edward Technical College to play a match with the Christchurch Technical College on June 13. The committee was informed that goal boards were available at grounds but were not being-used. Teams were asked to place these boards in position before matches and remove them at the conclusion. The OSPSSA representative. Mr White, made an appeal for more sticks to be used by primary school players. He said there were now 11 teams in the competition. It was decided to make an endeavour to supply sticks. At the suggestion of Mr H. Sew Hoy, the Match Committee was instructed to draw up a programme of representative matches for the year. It was decided that the seven-a-side competitions should be played immediately after the conclusion of the second round of the competitions.
