Special to the Daily Times TAPANUI, May 29. A further round of matches under good football conditions with the ground a little on the heavy side was played on Saturday. Miller's Flat continued on their winning way, having won all their games to date and lead the competition with 12 flag points. Their nearest opponents are Waikoikoi and Roxburgh, each with six points, both having played a match less than Miller’s Flat. In the junior competition, of which two rounds have been played, there is a more interesting position, Roxburgh leading with 10 flag points, followed by Miller’s Flat with eight paints. The results of Saturday’s game is— Senior; Miller’s Flat 17, Kelso 0; Roxburgh 16,/ Tapanui 0; Waikoikoi 9, Heriot 8 Junior: Roxburgh 22, Heriot 0; Miller’s Flat 6, Tapanui 3. The latter was a challenge game by Miller’s Flat for the Biel Shield, which was held by Tapanui. Hockey.—Heriot 7, Miller’s Flat B 3; Teviot A 9, Teviot B 6. Basketball.—Waikoikoi 21, .Clyde 14; Heriot A 39, Heriot B 5; School 23, Scotles 2.
