CAPITAL PUNISHMENT
NATIONAL PARTY ATTITUDE DEFINED
PA WELLINGTON, May 27. The National' Party’s attitude on capital punishment was explained by Mr Holland at a meeting of the Wellington division of the National Party to-day. &
“ Let me clear this up,” he said. “ If elected, we will introduce legislation providing for the restoration of capital punishment in certain cases in regard to which I shall be guided by legal advice, but every member of our party in the House will be free to vote on the measure according to the dictates of his own conscience.”
