PROSPECTS FOR TO-DAY ARCTIC CIRCLE FAVOURED Although the fields engaged at the South Canterbury meeting to-day are not what might be termed classy, they •Took capable of producing interesting racing, and again there is the prospect of some big dividends. It is seldom that there is such a succession of big dividends as was the case last Saturday. The principal race of the day, the South Canterbury Handicap has drawn a field of 14, and the logical favourite is Ned Kelly, who was narrowly beaten in the principal race last Saturday. The shorter distance to-day should suit him.
