VYSHINSKY GIVES NEW WORD TO THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE
Rec. 10 p.m. PARIS, May 27. The Soviet Foreign Minister, Mr Andrei Vyshinsky, contributed a new word to the English language yesterday, namely, “ mononanimity.” His interpreter, Mr Vladimir Pavov, told correspondents that mononanimity was the English equivalent to the word used by Mr Vyshinsky when he criticised Three-Power administration of Western Germany, in which, he said, the American vote was decisive. This he described as mononanimity—the state of affairs in which one party invariably “ dictates a unanimous decision.”
