Marcia Will be Supported Handy-sized fields are down to meet on the final day of the Poverty Bay Turf Club’s winter meeting at Gisborne tomorrow. Marcia won so well over one mile last week that she should not be bothered by the extra two furlongs In the Gisborne Handicap. Tilting and Merry Bing may provide most opposition. Mediocre has gone up 111 b in the Members’ Steeples as a result of his win last week, but he should be equal to the task. The following horses may be among the favourites:— 11.15: Hexton Hurdles.—Gentleman Joe, Little Duke, Tile Scotchman. 12.0: Riverside Hack Handicap.—Plrello, Motoka, Sinatra. 12.45: Roseland Trial Stakes.—Jovado, Gold Circuit, Theiolett. 1.30: Gisborne Handicap.—Marcia, Tilting, Mprry Bing, 2.15: Members’ Steeplechase.—Mediocre, Magnus Lux, Rere Tere. 3.0: Roseland Trial Stakes No. 2.—A1l Dark. Golden Rye Lambeth. 3.45: Repongaere Hack Handicap.—Running Rein, Brown Boy, Johannes. 4.30: Farewell Hack Handicap.—Run Bahadur, On Probation, Phanlon.
