Long Flight by Model Aeroplane
PA GISBORNE, May 25. Caught in an updraught while circling over the Bushmere 'district, a Diesel-powered model aeroplane built by 14-year-old Alec Cameron disappeared in the cloud and was found two days later about 24 airline miles away. A model aero club official said it was probably one of the longest model plane flights in the history of clubs in the Dominion The plane was undamaged but out of fuel. When released, it had sufficient fuel for a minute’s flying.
