AMERICAN VISITOR’S VIEW OF DOMINION
NZPA—Copyright OTTAWA, May 12. Mr Fred G. Clark, chairman of the American Economic Foundation, who returned recently from a trip to New Zealand, told the annual meeting of the International Council of Industrial Editors that it was almost impossible to get anyone to work in New Zealand. “ Taxes there are so high that there is little incentive to work,” he said. Mr Clark added that the major political parties in the United States were voicing the same demands for further socialisation that were heard in New Zealand.
