The University of New Zealand invites applications for' an American Field Service Scholarship. This scholarship covers tuition, fees, room and books (offered bv Dickinson College) and the grant of 300 dollars made by the American Field Board, which is not covered, but which presumably will be paid by the student from the 800-dollar grant, will amount to approximately 400 dollars. Transportation, both ways, is the responsibility of the student. The Scholarship is open to undergraduates of either sex. Further details are available from the Registrar of the University of New Zealand. On JUNE 7, 1949, the Department’s Medical Officer will be at PURAKANUI SCHOOL to administer “ Booster ” doses to children from four to seven years old. “ Booster ” doses are given ONLY to children whose initial immunisation was completed at least three years ago. Children who have not previously been immunised will NOT be treated at this stage. The necessary forms are being issued to children to be treated at Purakanui School.
