FINE BUT COLD The official weather forecast issued by the Meteorological Office in Wellington is:— Situation.—An anti-cyclone covers the Tasman Sea and New Zealand. Forecast to 5 p.m.—Light or moderate northerly winds predominating. Weather fair to fine and cold. Further Outlook.—Fair. Weather in Dunedin.—Conditions were cold in Dunedin yesterday and there were indications of a sharp frost last night. For the 24 hours ended at 9 a.m. yesterday, 0.22 in of rain was recorded. The sun shone for 4ht 12min. The maximum temperature was 49.9 deg and the minimum 43.3 deg. There was little Variation on the barometer, the reading at midnight being 30.29 in.
