EXTRA MATCH FOR/ ALL £ BLACKS SOUTH AFRICAN EMPIRE GAMES TEAM BENEFIT PA WELLINGTON, May 13. The New Zealand Rugby Union was unlikely to object to an extra match • being arranged for the All Black team in South Africa if opportunity presented itself, said the the chairman of." the New Zealand Rugby Football Union Council, Ml- A. St. C. Belcher, - to-day. He was speaking in reference to a cable message yesterday from Johannesburg that Lord Burghley had suggested the playing of an additional game in aid of the cost of sending a South African team to the Empire Games at Auckland. The question of whether the proceeds of such a match would be contributed to the Empire Games fund was.for the South African Rugby Board to decide, added Mr Belcher. The finances of the tour while the team was in South Africa were solely the concern of the controlling body in that country. The tourists are scheduled to play their final match—the fourth test —at Port Elizabeth on September 17 and to leave Cape Town by the Dominion Monarch on September 23 for New Zealand.
