WILLS PROVED
Mr Justice Kennedy has granted probate of the estates of Nathan Greaves, or Beardsmore, retired farmer, Portobello; Barbara Morrison, widow, Stirling; Mary Fleming, widow, Louisa Harriet Harris, spinster; David McGimpsey, retired farmer, Oamaru;' Mary Elizabeth Nichols, widow, Lawrence.
Letters of administration have been granted in the estates of Alfred Page, war pensioner, Macandrew Bay; James Shaw, farmer, Palmerston; Eva Victoria Phelan, married woman, Lawrence.
A fox terrier attempting to rescue a three-year-old boy from a creek in George’s Drive, Napier, attracted the attention of a Napier Borough Council employee. The workman immediately went to the boy’s assistance and pulled him out. The terrier, its hind legs on the bank and its teeth gripping the boy’s clothing, was making a valiant attempt to drag the boy out of the water.
