NEW ZEALAND BOWLERS BRISBANE TOURNAMENT PA WELLINGTON. May 11. New Zealand is sending a team of 71 bowlers to compete in the Australian Bowling Council’s annual carnival at Brisbane from May 26 to June 11. Sixty-one of the New Zealand competitors have been entered for the Singles Championship. The total entries, which are a record, are 1572 for the Singles, 1927 Pairs and 493 Fours. The New Zealand team is an unofficial one, and is the largest to take part in an overseas championship tournament. Among the New Fours entered are the Dunedin .Centre players: T. Wight (Roslyn), A. Campbell (Dunedin), T. Dunlay (Roxburgh), F. Jones, skip (Rbslyn), T. R. Hindle (Balmacewen), H. Hay, G. G. Adess (St. Kilda), H. M. Mackay, skip (Caledonian).
