Choral Service At Wedding of Dunedin Singers

To the magnificent strains of Purcell s •• Trumpet Voluntary,” Miss Jean Keen, elder daughter of Mr and Mrs John S. Keen, of Timaru, walked down the aisle of St. Paul's Cathedral last night for the solemnisation of her marriage to Mr Bryan Drake, son of Mr and Mrs Ernest Drake, of Dunedin. The marriage service was conducted by Dean Button, and psalms were sung by the choir. The bride wore a classically-cut dress of French embossed cloque. Her long net veil came from Paris, as did the attractive head-dress made from ospreys and arum lilies. She carried a bouquet of arurp lilies and white gladioli. Mips Margaret Harvie, Miss Diana Unwin, and Miss Shonagh Clarke—wore gowns of cherry cloque featuring high necklines and full draped sleeves. White and Mrs S. G. Turner; and part songs were conducted by Mrs L. Beaumont. The accompanists were Mrs P. Dick and Mr s E. Miller. Mr Arnold Goodwin, of Auckland, will be the guest speaker at the meeting of the Travel Club to-morrow morning. An opportunity will be given to say goodbye to the chairman, Mr W. R. Brugh, who will leave at the end of the week on an overseas tour. The hostesses will be Mrs C. O. Mathias andi Mrs R. Greensladc.
