TRIUMPHANT TOUR
PRINCESS JOSEPHINE IN BELGIUM , SIGNIFICANCE OF VISIT N ZPA—Copyright Rec. 8 p.m. LONDON, Apl. 16. Princess Josephine Charlotte, the only daughter of King Leopold of Belgium, left for Luxemburg after a sensational six-day visit to Belgium, which focussed attention on Belgium's royalty problem, says the British United Press correspondent in Brussels. It is regarded as significant that the lovely 21-year-old Princess returned for the first time since the Germans drove her and her father from the country at the beginning of the war only one month before the general elections. The royal problem will be a major issue in the election campaigns. Thousands of citizens sang Belgium’s national anthem and 'chanted, “We want our King,” when Princess Josephine visited a day nursery in the heart of the working-class district in Brussels. Cheering crowds broke the police cordons and mobbed the Princess.
